Foundation of the ACBS Classic Boat Club of Northern Europe – 18.05.2023

The Classic Boat Club of Northern Europe, ACBS Nordic for short, was officially founded on May 18th. At the official board event, organized by the ACBS Chapter in France, members of the ACBS Board in Bordeaux, France, as well as the local chapter from France, met and accepted the proposal to found the second chapter in Europe.

Bjørn Bakken, treasurer of the ACBS and, along with Jani Vahto and Torben Kasimzade, one of the three initiators of the new chapter, was also present in person, flying in from the USA with other board members from ACBS.

With almost 20 pioneers from six different countries, the new chapter now sees its main task in internationalization, exchange and mutual support of the various vintage boat clubs in Northern Europe.

The new ACBS members are looking forward to many face-to-face meetings and in networking with one another.
